Jonathan's writing has elevated content efforts for Fortune 50 companies, Silicon Valley startups, globe-spanning foundations and the most respected editorial publications in America. His award-winning journalism has appeared in the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Rolling Stone, Forbes and Pitchfork, and he has provided executive ghostwriting and communications strategy for T-Mobile, Microsoft, the Bezos Family Foundation, Sub Pop Records and more. Over the course of a 20-year career, he has penned copy for Times Square ad campaigns, interviewed Grammy-winning musicians and scripted films and podcasts for major media outlets. His first book, Beastie Boys: A Musical Biography, was published by Greenwood Press in 2012.
Since 2017, Jonathan has served Seattle's creative community as the chair of the board of directors of the Vera Project, an all-ages, nonprofit concert venue and arts incubator that celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021.
In his free time he enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest's epic wilderness with his best friend and personal trainer, Edison the Wonderdog.
